I’m mk, the author of PowerSMPS. I use this blog to document what I learn while working with power circuits and embedded hardware.
Areas of interest
My interests include SMPS and DC-DC converters, component selection, motor and relay control, and EMI/EMC. Recent experiments involve running AI models on RK3588-based boards, comparing conversion methods, memory use, inference speed and output quality.
How I document the work
I aim to explain the conditions behind datasheet specifications and what calculations mean for a circuit. I distinguish results I have checked directly from interpretations based on documentation, and aim to include experimental conditions and sources.
I also document attempts that did not improve performance or proved difficult to apply. I hope these records help readers assess similar designs under their own conditions.
